Με εννέα υποψηφιότητες η καθεμία, η Ariana Grande και η Lady Gaga, σαρώνουν τις υποψηφιότητες για τα φετινά MTV VMA 2020. Πίσω στην κατάταξη ακολουθούν δυναμικά η Billie Eilish και ο The Weeknd με έξι έκαστος.
Οι υποψηφιότητες ανακοινώθηκαν την Πέμπτη και πέρα από τις γνώριμες κατηγορίες, φαίνεται πως οι συνθήκες της πανδημίας ανέδειξαν και καινούριες για όσους δεν έμειναν άπραγοι κατά την περίοδο της καραντίνας και αξιοποίησαν τον καλλιτεχνικό τους οίστρο και στον εγκλεισμό.
Για την ανατρεπτική τους συνεργασία στο hit Rain On Me η Ariana Grande και η Lady Gaga were both nominated for Video Of The Year for their No. 1 dance hit , το οποίο διαγωνίζεται επίσης και στην κατηγορία “Τραγούδι της Χρονιάς”, Καλύτερη Συνεργασία”, Best Pop, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects και “Καλύτερη Χορογραφία”.
