“Συνταξιοδότηση; Φάε τη γλώσσα σου!”

Με αυτόν τον χαρακτηριστικό τίτλο -φράση που είπε η ίδια- ξεκινά το άρθρο-συνέντευξη της βρετανικής Vogue, η οποία γράφει ιστορία κάνοντας εξώφυλλο την 85χρονη Dame Judi Dench, τη γηραιότερη γυναίκα που πόζαρε για αυτό.

Το τεύχος Ιουνίου φιλοξενεί τη σημαντικότατη αυτή Βρετανή ηθοποιό με τη συλλογή από 11 BAFTA, ένα Οscar, Χρυσές Σφαίρες, βραβεία Tony και Laurence Olivier για τη θεατρική της καριέρα.

Η Dench έδωσε συνέντευξη πριν από το lockdown στον συντάκτη του περιοδικού και ένα από τα θέματα συζήτησης ήταν το πώς κατάφερε να είναι φαινόμενο στα social media χωρίς καν να έχει λογαριασμό σε κάποιο από αυτά, χάρη σε ένα χιουμοριστικό βίντεο που ανέβασε η κόρη της.

“Δεν χρησιμοποιώ τα social media. Το βίντεο ήταν μια έμπνευση της στιγμής, ένα αστείο προσπαθώντας να κάνω τον κόσμο που ήταν σε καραντίνα να γελάσει”, είπε.

Μετά από 6 δεκαετίες καριέρας, μίλησε από το σπίτι της στο Surrey για την αγάπη και τον γάμο (δέχτηκε 4 προτάσεις αλλά έμεινε παντρεμένη από το 1971 με τον Michael Williams μέχρι τον θάνατό του το 2001).
